THE LOVELINESS OF SAGE GREEN INTERIORS

WOW as I type this today (Monday 26th March) the sun is streaming in through the windows, the sky is BLUE and the prettiest crocuses have popped up in the garden - SPRING is finally here.

One of the colours I've seen sprouting up in the interiors world recently is a lovely shade of green known as SAGE.  Unsurprisingly the exact colour of the glorious herb, it's such a soft and pretty shade and a colour I would love to work into my home.    I've seen it in kitchens, hallways and in bedrooms and I thought I would just give you a brief look at how it can work.

Personally, I feel crisp whites, golds and black work really well with this shade but it's pretty versatile and could work with pink and burgundy.  This bedroom and living room space designed by Studio Ashby  is just beyond stunning (see more from this London penthouse here) and shows how this colour can be used in a contemporary setting.   BTW I have an entire Pinterest Board dedicated to this colour which you can follow at the bottom of the post, this colour is addictive!

Little Greene are always my number one go to for paint colours with their extensive palettes which are full of depth.  Below is their "Sage" Green which looks amazing in this panelled bathroom.

SAGE GREEN BY THE LITTLE GREENE COMPANY

This cute little office area looks glorious in green, designed and styled by IKEA for their summer collection a couple of years ago.  Clearly sage green goes beautifully with white, and lots of it!.   Another sage green paint colour called Lichen can be found by Farrow & Ball below.

I also LOVE sage green furniture like this glorious sofa designed by Tine K Home (a Danish brand well worth a look for some inspiration). It's a real mix of contemporary and down to earth style!  (Styling: Pernille Vest & Tine Daring, Photography: Mikkel Adsbøl)

This kitchen below is a little deeper in colour than the above shades but still falls into the sage green I think with the colour used on the cabinets, this glorious kitchen and colour "Cactus" is by Neptune and you can browse their full range of paints HERE

So what do you think of sage? are you a green fan in general? Would you like to see more ideas on how to use this colour as a future blog post? I'm planning on writing an entire colour series!

A X
