PASTEL HEAVEN AT THE EDEN LOCKE IN EDINBURGH
OK, a little interlude to the Christmas build up with a bit of pastel decor inspo. I recently came across the design-led "aparthotel" Eden Locke in Edinburgh, and it looks and sounds like a pretty amazing place to stay if you're in the city.
...THE INTERIORS ARE GORGEOUS
Combining the main decor elements of pastel paint, terracotta pots and rattan furniture with contemporary accents in a dream Georgian property, is, for me, about as gorgeous as it gets. I love period property with super modern interiors!
GETTING IT RIGHT WITH PASTEL DECOR
Decorating with pastels is tricky, I personally feel you need the right shades which aren't sickly and the right furniture and accessories that blend in without looking heavy, it's getting the right balance which the Eden Locke has nailed. If you're thinking of adding in a pastel colour scheme somewhere at home then this will give you some great inspiration. Maybe start with the bedroom and work your way down to the kitchen! (I'm loving pastel kitchens right now). The mix of green, pink and blue pastel colours, old terracotta pots, rattan furniture and neutral flooring makes for such a gorgeous look which is fresh and modern but also really warm and inviting.
I mean, seriously how dreamy is this interior!
PASTEL PAINT COLOURS
I found some pretty colours which are similar to these stunning mint and pink pastel tones to which you could add pops of zingy yellow or even orange too with contemporary accessories dotted around, find the colours below HERE
Terracotta pots look so amazing with a pastel backdrop especially indoors. WAYFAIR have a great selection in all shapes and sizes! Find them HERE
