I’m re-posting this little post because this is still one of my all time favourite Christmas table looks. I’ll be going pink this year with my own linens (as you can see in the top image of the homepage) but still have a lot of love for checks, bows on glasses and GOLD…..

The Christmas table is such an exciting element to style for the seasonal festivities and this we're going black and white with navy, gold and a zip of orange (literally).  I've styled up the table ready for starters with some simple baubles, oranges and berries from the garden (these are from a yellow winterberry shrub in the back garden).  Just a few little touches like adding the black ribbon bow to the base of the gold champagne glasses (£3 each from Wilko!) sets off the look nicely.  I think my favourite part is the black and white check tablecloth which is from Ikea (also in red) although I couldn't find the same one online but have added a link to a similar cloth in navy check.  It just adds something a bit different to the proceedings. The full source list is at the bottom of the post. Oh and how WOW is that gold leaf garland from Amara, it twists and turns in any which way so you can style it up till your heart's content!
